Work has now been completed on the new sheltered housing development, Elaine Herbert House, at the Great Hospital in Norwich, Norfolk.
Rossi Long Consulting provided both civil and structural engineering services for the project, working closely with Cowper Griffiths Architects and Smith of Honingham throughout the construction phase. We’re delighted to see the building complete and ready to welcome its new residents.
Elaine Herbert House is a modern two/three storey development comprising 24 high-quality homes, delivering much needed independent living accommodation for the local community. Situated within the historic grounds of the Great Hospital - a collection of Grade I and II Listed medieval buildings dating back to 1249 - the new building has been carefully designed to respect its surroundings. Construction incorporates traditional flint masonry and brickwork, ensuring the development reflects its historic setting.
This notable project highlights our expertise in civil and structural engineering for residential and heritage developments, particularly on historic and Listed buildings.
Rossi Long Consulting has been proud to work with the Great Hospital for more than 25 years, supporting a wide range of historic renovation and refurbishment projects. We’re pleased to continue this long-standing relationship by contributing our engineering expertise to another important scheme.
