Rossi Long Consulting recently hosted a Charity Golf Day at Barnham Broom Golf Club in Norfolk to fundraise in aid of Nelson’s Journey.
To start the day, we welcomed our guests with coffee and bacon rolls before going out on the course for a round of golf. We challenged the teams to Beat the Pro, longest drive, and nearest the pin competitions to add a little bit of an extra competitiveness to the day, while prizes were awarded to the three top teams.
A popular stop was the halfway house, where players refuelled with our home baked cakes and refreshing cold drinks – perfect for cooling off in the hot weather – in the return for a donation for Nelson’s Journey.
The day concluded with a relaxed BBQ lunch, where we were joined by Gary from Nelson’s Journey who spoke about the meaningful impact of their work supporting children and young people through bereavement.
Nelson’s Journey supports children and young people in Norfolk who have experienced the death of a significant person. Through a range of services - including one-to-one support, residential weekends, and therapeutic resources - the charity helps young people navigate their grief and build emotional resilience at an incredibly difficult time.
We are thrilled to share that, thanks to the generosity and support of everyone who attended, the event raised over £5,000 for Nelson’s Journey, half of which was fund matched by Rossi Long. These funds will contribute directly to the continuation of the charity’s essential services, helping more young people receive the support they need.
